I have paraphrased this information for the sake of brevity, if something is not clear please refer to the documentation itself. To determine the maximum value for ''MAX:'', follow these guidelines: * For disks up to 64MB in size, ''%%MAXIMUM FILES = ((N-(((N+4095.)/4096.)+9.))*127.)/258.%%'' where ''N'' is the size of your target disk * For disks from 64MB to 532MB, set ''MAX:'' to the number of blocks on disk divided by 16. * For disks larger than 532MB, set ''MAX:'' to 65500. The value of ''HEA:'' is derived from the value of ''MAX:''. In order to determine the maximum ''HEA:'' value for your disk, use the following guidelines: MAX value ---------- disk size ---------- HEA value <25588 ≤209MB MAX/2 ≥25588 ^ ≤51176 210-419MB 25593 ≥51176 ^ ≤51693 420-423MB 25846 ≥51693 ^ ≤65500 ≥423MB 51693
